Dear Duckjibe:

I am writing to ask for your support regarding a windsurfing documentary that I am directing & producing on the Island of Bonaire.

The film is called "CHILDREN OF THE WIND," and it is about the kids on Bonaire who journey from a life of extreme poverty to international fame, all because of windsurfing and one remarkable mentor on the island named Elvis.

We are fortunate enough to have Peter Robertson as our Partner and Cinematographer. Peter is one of the UK's leading camera operators with a worldwide reputation in the feature film industry. He has over 25 years experience in shooting feature films with credits that include Harry Potter, James Bond, and Atonement. As an avid windsurfer himself, Peter is looking forward to contributing his expertise to this project.

ESPN Sports has expressed interest in broadcasting the documentary and we plan to market the film to various other sports & travel channels, airlines and cruises, as well as promoting DVD sales over the Internet and in stores.

Attached I have included a brief Narrative Synopsis. Upon your response, I'd be happy to send the full proposal including Bios and Budget.

We have a small windsurfing series of books, the latest of which, RYA Intermediate Windsurfing, has just been published. Written by Simon Bornhoft, 5 time UK Freestyle Champion, this book provides ample information and guidance on windsurfing techniques including launching & landing, harnesses, gybing and fast tacking. I would like to send you a review copy, so please can you send me your postal address. Do you have a book review section on your website? The VENTILO SHOW is now one of the biggest french annual meeting for all the windsurf fans, to meet the brand distributors, surfshops owners, riders and champions.

We invite you from oct. 27th to nov. 5h, on the beach of « la Madrague », to come, discover and try the newest 2008 windsurf equipment from the best brands. There you can also learn some windsurfing bases from our teachers available for you and the kids during these 10 days.
